Assimilation

Jesus Christ said to his followers – ‘If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you’. (John 15:19 ) There is always pressures and outside influences to assimilate and conform to natural standards and behaviours. God’s people need to be careful to keep themselves separate from all things that would be in conflict with the new creation that God has made them through Jesus Christ.
