WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our beliefs align with the Bible: All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness – 2 Timothy 3:16
The Bible is the inspired word of God. Everything given to us in the Bible is there for a reason. We don’t have the liberty to decide which parts matter, and which parts don’t. It’s all important.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (Jesus) – John 14:26
But the most important part is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. If you choose to follow the God of the Bible and repent and be baptised, you will receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). You will understand that the Bible is more than just a history book, but speaks of a living reality.
We Believe Our personal experience, and its context in the Bible story is much bigger than we can get across in just a few words.
The Bible is the story of God’s dealings with Israel; of preachers, teachers, prophets and kings. It is the story of Jesus, the gospel and the Church. It is a story of miracles, direct insights and transformed lives. Everything covered in its pages is important.
We believe:
■ in the infallibility of the Word of God
■ Jesus Christ is the Son of God
■ the Gospel of His death, resurrection, and directive to repent, be baptised, and receive the Holy Spirit
■ we are baptised into the Body of Christ (the Church) through the Holy Spirit, with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues
■ in the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church
■ in prayer for the sick and healing by the power of God
■ the Bible instructs the Spirit-filled believer on how to live an overcomer’s life
■ the Bible describes God’s plan for this world and gives signs of the soon return of Jesus Christ
We would encourage you to consider that unless your beliefs align with the scripture, then that is all they are – your beliefs.
The statement of our beliefs aligning with the scriptures are merely a starting point for the whole story!
